On Saturday 11th March, our club played host to the inaugural Leicestershire County Closed Racketball Championship!
With a good number of entries coming in from players across the county, competition was fierce across several graded tournaments that took place across the day and helped to showcase the increasingly-popular game of racketball to a wider audience.
In the main event, Ali Mutch proved too hot to handle for Andy Beel in the Grade A final. Through the other grades…
- Paul O’Hara beat Steve Durrant in the Grade B final.
- Adam Bagley beat Steve Smith in the Over 40s.
- Nick Marshall beat Richard Jackson in the Over 50s.
- Dave Wood beat Faz Dean in the Over 60s.
A big “thank you” to everyone who attended to play and support the event, in particular Andy Beel and Tim Parratt for the organisation, Matt Hardman for the t-shirt and poster designs, Ali Nicholas and Terrie Godden for the catering and bar organisation, and all of the club volunteers who helped run the day.
Same again next year!
